I received 4 of these boards and was wondering what chipset is on it. I'm hoping its not the d2 nothing chipset. Any help is appreciated

Try reading the small drive chip.

I think it might be a DC2-D3 which can play backups.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

There are no markings on any of the chips identifying what chip it is.

Identical to my D3-2 pcb layout-wise along with no markings... I just grabbed it off my filing cabinet to compare (did a drive swapout when bought).

well if these boards are D3-2s they won't be seeing any use any time soon. My wii has a drivekey and softmod. No use keeping them if I can't use my backups

I just checked all the boards. All 5 are D3-2. I'll keep them for repair use only on non-modded wii units.
