Kids want microphones!

It's a little strange being on this side of the keyboard, actually asking for help and advice on something Wii related instead of providing it. Still, after a couple of thousand helping posts and not one single (until now) asking for help post I think I might just have earned the right.

Of course I could search but I would like some of your valued opinions on the following...

The kids would like to partake of some of the singng games this Christmas and to do that we must buy some Microphones. Being incredibly tight I'd like to purchase Microphones (2) that would work with every possible game out there. I'm wary in case I go for a microphone that's only compatible with the crappiest sing along tellietubies or something.

So what would you recommend? For use in Uk by the way. Do these mics, guitars, drums etc have 100% compatibility across all pretend singling/band type games?

Thanks

T

as far as i know, the mic's are pretty much 100% compatible.

I have a mic from the High School Musical game, and it works with all the games , GH, RB etc etc that ive tried it with.

Things with the guitar and other instruments are slightly more tricky.

Thanks Dave. Isn't it just typical that Wii seems to have the worst compatibility between devices. lol.

Hey, pretty much already answered... But you've helped me so much with Rock band 2 I feel I need to help even more...

ANY USB mic will work with the Wii from what i've experienced, across any game (GH, RB, HSM, etc.). Even the cheap Logitech PC/360/PS3 Karoake USB mics will work just fine, so don't feel obligated to buy anything Wii specific, just USB and the cheapest.

I bought a used Guitar Hero microphone at game stop for $8, and it works with the Disney Sing It games and Guitar Hero games, have't tried Rock Band yet, just make sure to load the games with IOS222.
