New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Yes we are all very well aware that the game is out. And we are also well aware that it doesnt work. No you dont have a bad dump of the game or anything of that nature. Its just that nintendo got smarter and finally was able to put their piracy checks into the wii games like they have been doing for the ds games. So before you go and start millions and millions of threads about it, just wait for one of the mods or super awesome users to post a confirmed working fix. But imo i think its gonna take around 5 days for them to find a way around the piracy checks.

Okay there is a fix for it now. Thanks to DavePM for the find. Don't forget to thanks dave for the find/post people.

There is also a prepatched version of the game. Look for the release by nitro.

Will it work with a chip?

Nope. It says it works on most, but from majority of the people it doesnt. All they get is about 3mins -20mins of gameplay and that is about it. Nintendo finally did something right on their end, but it wont stop hackers from finding out where the piracy checks are located and then either removing it or patching it. We just have to be patient. Also expect the new wii zelda/metroid games to also have them.

It seems that the ones released on the web including NT, IPTorrents and other places are not working for unknown reason(s). Though I can say, This will NOT work on USB Loaders but some confirm on Disc Loading while most ModChip users have it working. A 1:1 untouched copy should emerge soon.

So basically if you have a original in your hand and dump it to your computer, then burn it, it will work? If thats the case, then why are all these sites coming up with these scrubbed versions? If its that easy to just release a 1:1 copy, then someone go do it. I honestly dont think its that easy. It could be that Nintendo put some checks in all their originals that can tell if the game is being loaded in a modded console, therefore wont play. Thats a possibility also.

o contrair mo frare.... i just so happen to have a WORKING nsmb in hand... Wii 3.2 w/ wasabi ZERO (soldered) 1.4 fw , ios 38,53,55,56 installed works great through disc channel.... And the best part is it is scrubbed down to 375mb

How many levels have you played? Have you gotten to world (not level) 2?

i gave it a good 45 min. havent made it off the first yet...
