so could i really then delete my channels in wii setting then use softmod link you suggested step by step
2. should i leave my channels and
try install bootmii
then upgrade etc.
3. could i leave what channels i have got
and do fresh install
with your softmod link
then again i might be overcomplicating the problem
(if only i had made a back up first) never mind eh!

Well, you already have HBC on your Wii and I presume are somewhat attached to the look of whatever was there before. I see no reason to deprive you of them. Go ahead and restore your HBC to what it looked like earlier-not just a bubbly screen. Then, yes we can go onto to bootmii installation, NAND backup, and whatever else you want to accomplish. So, get your HBC back to your comfort level and we'll continue from there.
If you truly don't care and would just as soon delete HBC and start the softmod from scratch-that's ok too. Go to Wii Options>Data Mgt>Channels.
@ social- cheeky ps'd that he also has a wiikey installed.... doesnt that mean he can run the disk that fixs a bricked wii. im not sure but i thought that was possible. so alll he would have to do is download the file, burn it to iso , and there is his safety. right?
