I love Family guy but as far as favourite series ever, it would be Joss Whedon's FireFly/Serenity.

For a serious show, Showtime's "Dexter" is amazing!

I like House and Family Guy a real lot, but the best television shows of all time are/were...

Farscape
Lost
The Prisoner
The Muppet Show
Doctor Who
One Piece (Subtitles onry!)
The Office (UK)
Looney Tunes
Dead Like Me

that's all I can come up right now. And those are in no particular order, excpept Farscape, which is the Best Show in the History of Television.
