Is wii just for people with real friends?

This hole friends code system is so shitty and there is a real lake of online multiplayer support.

For example Call of duty 3, you can play up with 24 people online with PS3 ... there is no multiplayer option for wii.
Okeay you can play mario football online, but either only against one random person, that you never meet again ....

wii multiplayer only seems to work when you call your friends over to your house. But I dont have any friends, so I end up playing alone ....

it is annoying i do agree, but then again nintendo is new to the online thing.

I dont see the merit in the strikers system where the person who plays the most games in a week essentially is number 1, until the week ends. And then if they want to keep their position they have to play that many games again!

Its not much about skill, seeing as points are swapped, and there is no penalty for quitting.

Now smash bros system is even more random, scores are kept with your friends but random battles you dont even get a ranking!

I think that they're just biding their time. Either that or they're lacking in the visionary department. But, to say that the company that invented THE WII lacks vision is almost an oxymoron. So, why do they have a system that allows you to connect to the internet, but won't let you play Tiger Woods Golf w/ Tiger Woods...or someone's Tiger Woods Mii. For some reason, call it wishful thinking but, I believe that the Nintendo Corp. has an ace up their sleeve.

And is it just me, or did they seem to overlook Thug Sk8ter mode on the Playstation 2!!!! They were doing multiplayer a LONG time ago. Get with it Wii.
