Lightscribe ... sweeet

I guess we all use Verbatim, and as the one in the jewel case are actually not just more expensive but also better, there is no big difference in getting LIGHTSCRIBE ones instead of normal ones ...

My Lite-On burner supports lightscribe and the result loocks really sweet and is also better for the media to writtting on it ....

So far I found all the labels at "google cover paradise" and I use the tool that comes with nero to print them.

All I need to do now is to resize the DVD covers to CD size to make my collection look perfect.

yeah i was really wanting a lightscribe, but then i have seen so many people with media issues. So I stick to Verbatim DVD-R at 2x and havn't had problems... but if Lightscribe media is good quality too I'd love to get a new burner.

I use VERBATIM DVD-R 16x with Lightscribe. If you buy a single dics they cost 1.47Euro.

I had 3 bad burns, bu then I updated FW, OS, Software, ... and now everything works fine.

So far I have burned 10 disc all labeld with lightscribe and everything works smooth.

There are only two things:
- The covers I find on coverparadise are remakes and not the original ones, i hate that.
- there is a big circle at the middle of the disc that can not be printed.

but as i said it works perfect.

Not at all, Verbatim are of course more expensive then others and the one in jewel case are even more expensive ...

If you buy a label you have to add that cost to the media for comparison, same goes for a printer with ink ....

So I guess in the end it all is the same.

about £6.78 thats (13.90 usd approx) for 25 disks (CDR)
or £4.63 (9.49 usd approx) for 10 disks (DVD +R)
or £3.88 (7.95 usd approx) for 10 disks (DVD-R)

not sure about the prices elsewhere, obviously with the exchange rate being what they are it sounds expensive in USD

looking around online a 15 pack of DVD+r lightscribe disks in the US is about $7.50 so its cheaper, at current exchange rates that would be about £3.50 in the UK but the shipping would kill you
