i mean legaly like you dont own it like w/ n64 roms if you don't own them it says u must delete them after 24 hours. just trying 2 be legal jeeze u dont have 2 get all up in my face callin it stupid

EDIT: like this example STRAIGHT off of nintendo web site: http://www.nintendo.com/corp/legal.jsp#download_rom

Can I Download a Nintendo ROM from the Internet if I Already Own the Authentic Game?

There is a good deal of misinformation on the Internet regarding the backup/archival copy exception. It is not a "second copy" rule and is often mistakenly cited for the proposition that if you have one lawful copy of a copyrighted work, you are entitled to have a second copy of the copyrighted work even if that second copy is an infringing copy. The backup/archival copy exception is a very narrow limitation relating to a copy being made by the rightful owner of an authentic game to ensure he or she has one in the event of damage or destruction of the authentic. Therefore, whether you have an authentic game or not, or whether you have possession of a Nintendo ROM for a limited amount of time, i.e. 24 hours, it is illegal to download and play a Nintendo ROM from the Internet.

everyone used to say that about N64 games...ahhh the good old n64 scene, how great those times were (16mb voodoo banshee was a beast back then)...but obviously if you download a game you violate copyright laws, especially if you do not own the title. if i own a title, i should be able to own a backup copy, even if it is downloaded, its still a copy, i traded money for something, now i can do what i want with what i just bought

Well I have cable aswell and the only prob. I've had is that I went over the 250 gb bandwith per month (i had 750) and they just wanted to know what was up, so i could watch the limits.
