Question Wii Brick, am I free?

I just wanted to inquire more about the nature of a Wii Brick. Am i to understand that it has nothing to do with hardware. Is it simply a software code nintendo input to screw people over who want to mess around?

When i first bought my wii which was one of the first ones out during the "I can't find a wii!" crisis my wii had dropped a couple times and eventually it didnt not start. It turned on and what not, accepted discs but just did not goto the menu screen and stuff.

So i had to send in my wii to get fixed, noen of my mii's were saved and my save files gone. My wii shop downloads were all still recorded and i can just redownload em without having to pay again.

Now as for my question after all this pointless banter is, Did they replace my wii for a new one and ticketed it with the wii shop downloads i previously had or is it possible they just took out the brick, assuming Bricking is software code, and im free of ever being bricked?

Well did you record the Info on the side of your wii? and see if it is the same or they could of just given you a new wii

lol they probably got a boot disc and cleaned it up and formated it if it is the same and even then i dont think it would be free from bricking. If it was people would be sending in the wiis and that would be crazy !!!

when problem happens at the System_Menu of Wii, it bricks. that's why u be care loading-&-updating the "out-of-region disc" into console.

u could view the IOS/ciOS/System_Menu in Wii console. using [AnyTitle Deleter].
    System_Menu_288 for NTSC-J console
    System_Menu-289 for NTSC-U console
    System_Menu_290 for pal console
!!!! NOT TO MIX UP THE REGIONS !!!!

the file resides in NAND of the mother board. not the DVD-ROM board.

nah, im all softmod. i was wondering if there was a way to track down the code and block the brick with a patch or just make it absolite.. But i suppose thats what Starfall did for me already.

Like if you could patch IOS', put em in and take em out, Upgrade and downgrade , that maybe you could find teh actual written code and erase it?
