When you have time and money, you can do anything you want.
The only problem is I was slowly upgrading from an older computer, so I used some of it's components, for instance it was a mini case so I had limited choices on the board I could get, same with the graphic card, board only came with on PCI 2x slot because of the size so the card had to be pretty go since I could bridge with another.
The memory strips, I lucked out, I got 2 dual pack for $50 which back then it when for about $125 a piece
i still have a commadore 64. plus a inspiromn 9300 and a dimension 3000
God I wish I had a commodore 64, thank god for emulators, I can still play the classics on my PC
