I dunno, just looking for someone who could be perceived as " pure of heart" since this story has no problems spanking the good guys of the story. The whole supernatural thing we got a preview of in the very first episode, is gonna smack down a lot of ppl out of their lives and their comfort zones.
Don't get me wrong, the unpredictability is very refreshing, but at some point folks are going to sing " I need a hero" , you know?

Not disagreeing, and Jon Snow was always my favorite straight-arrow guy. There were a few of them, but this show proves it's not the good guys who win based on honor or other such notions. Tywin Lannister has for example, lasted as long as he has by very very astute as an observer and the almost-unlimited-wealth likely helps grease the right palms.

Arya seems dead set on the assassination game... while she had been pure of heart, it has been replaced (understandably so) with pure, unadulterated hatred.

Oh, and Joostin is being a little bitch over at HD... offends his Christian values too much how the ep was so bloody.

Yep, they're like the Scooby Gang on steroids, lmao! It would seem we weren't the only ones caught by the very graphic surprise that was the end of episode 9, either:

Lol, I seen that and was tempted to login with a screenshot of the parental advisory, to remind him that it wasn't a kids show, or a lifetime movie network kinda thing. I decided he and the rest of the tea partyers, just are not worth my thought process.

I have hopes for Jamie Lannister. The guy's always had the bad reputation. Yes, he's got an issue with um, carnal relations with his sister. He stabbed the Mad King in the back. Why? It wasn't because he could. It was because the guy was going to burn King's Landing to the ground, the entire city. He never said a word (til with the overly large Blond).

The guy didn't get an ounce of humility, he got a frakkin' POUND of it relating to the culmination and recuperation from his hand being chopped off. Wondering if there's some character rehabilitation in his future... that'd be quite interesting.

Been doing some reading, found some pretty good thoughts elsewhere you and other followers of this thread may enjoy (yeah, the "Who's Online" feature can be a wonderful thing):

Gonna start a "true blood" and " boardwalk empire" thread when it becomes relevant again. If nothing else, we can get like minded folks to discuss that, when they stop touching their wii.

We should rename the lounge to " I have played with my wii, enough for today" lol

Both excellent shows. I still recommend "The Wire" --- helluva intricate crime drama --- I have seen no other with such depth. But yes, you'd feel like you'd need a cribnotes type thing going in due to the cast of characters. It also feature Aidan Gillen in season 4 --- undoubtedly, he should at once appear familiar to you in the context of this thread.
