hi i have been a member of wiihacks for 2 tyears and have never had a problem. but when i logged in today i recieved this message
You have been banned for the following reason:
inappropriate username- Please choose a less offensive one
Date the ban will be lifted: Never
my user name was slagheap and i don't understand how it is offensive. as the defintion for it from any dictionary i can find is
Noun 1. slagheap - pile of waste matter from coal mining etc
how can this be offensive??
A mod had asked for you to change your name and a response was not provided by you. We apologize for the inconvenience, but yo need to remember that this is a world wide site. With that being said you need to understand that certain terms or phrases that may not be offensive to you or in your area may have a different meaning somewhere else. It could have been "Slang" for something inappropriate in a different country.. Please feel free to open another account with a more suitable name. Again I apologize for the inconvenience. i was never asked to change my name all i recieved was a notification i had a new message and when clicked on it it said that my account was banned. i never recieved Any notification that it was rude and i have used this nickname on here for years without a problem and use it on may other websites and never has anyone even insinuated that the name is rude
and i understand about slang but i have lived in europe, and north america and nowhere is slagheap a slang for anything rude.
slagheap in slang is just something thats is in bad repair or broken
i don't see how that is rude

Im unsure of it also. it could have been a simple mistake. But please just create a new account name. The other has been banned and we cannot reverse the banning of that name.Quote:

If you check the email account you registered with you may well find a notification of the private messege.
