How can i transfer my iPhone 4 contacts to iPad 2
Does anyone know of a way to export all my contacts from my iPhone straight into my iPad 2 without having to re-type all of them in? Thanks a lot.
Assuming you use the same PC for your iPhone as your iPad and the iPhone has been synched... Open iTunes and plug your iPad into your PC. Click on "the name of your iPad" in "Devices" in the left sidebar. Under the "Info" tab at the top of the screen you'll find "Synch Contacts" Uncheck this if it's checked. Then check "Selected Groups" and then check "iphone." Click "Synch" at the bottom right of the screen. Your contacts should now load to your iPad.
Moreover, i share you a page of iPhone/iPad/iPod Transfer Backup Reviews. It includes the transferring of music, photos, videos, SMS, Contact ect. between iPod/iPhone/iPad and computer(PC or Mac).
Hopefully this works for you.

Sync your iPhone to your iTunes
Then sync your iPad to you iTunes
- Download and install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
- Open iTunes.
- Connect the iOS device to your computer using the included USB cable and select it in iTunes under Devices on the left-hand side.
- Set up which items are to be synced: Click the corresponding tabs in iTunes to specify which information you want synced between the iOS device and your computer.
- Click Apply, in the lower-right corner of the screen, to sync.

Iphone 4 Contacts To Ipad 2
The default way right now of getting contacts from one to the other is to use iTunes on a Windows or Mac computer. When you sync your iPhone with the computer, it will then sync the contacts as well. Then once you sync the iPad using the same computer and same iTunes, your contacts will sync as well. But, that is not a "direct" sync. It requires a "third party" (i.e. the computer running iTunes).
The primary way to have a "direct" sync is to use MobileMe. If you have a MobileMe account and then setup both the iPhone and iPad to use that MobileMe account, you can then have it sync contacts (and calendars and bookmarks). Technically it is still using a "third party" (i.e. the MobileMe server), but you really don't need to see or deal with that server...it all happens automatically in the background if you want it to. MobileMe is NOT free.
Now, the problem is that Apple no longer is allowing new MobileMe accounts. They introduced iCloud, which will do much of the same stuff if slightly differently, but iCloud won't be available until the fall...and until then, for some reason, Apple is not accepting new MobileMe accounts. FWIW, when available, iCloud will be free.
Try to follow below steps, I have transferred my data through those steps.
1. Register for iCloud on source device
2. Enable iCloud syncing for Contacts
3. Login to iCloud on target device
4. Enable contacts syncing
5. Wait a few seconds
