Breaking News: Spirit Jailbreak Released! Untethered for all Devices!

    Spirit

By comex. It's out the Userland jailbreak which will be untethered for all devices; iPod/iPhone/iPad 3.1.2/3.1.3/3.2
Enjoy, was just released a few minutes ago!
    Make sure to read!
    What's Spirit?
Spirit is an untethered jailbreak for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch on the latest firmwares.
Spirit is not a carrier unlock.
If you currently are using a tethered jailbreak, you have to restore to use Spirit. Do not upgrade if you use an unlock on an iPhone 3G or 3GS. (You can, however, restore to 3.1.2 if you have SHSH blobs for that version.)
    Requirements
Any iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch on firmware 3.1.2, 3.1.3, or 3.2.
An activated device: one not stuck on the Connect to iTunes or Emergency Call screen.
Any version of iTunes 9 (including 9.1.1).
Syncing with iTunes before trying this highly recommended.
Note: On iPad, all this is still sort of beta. Some packages in Cydia, not designed for iPad, might screw up your system and require you to restore. Be careful. (And no, Cydia's appearance is not final.)
Updated: Spirit has been updated as at May 3rd to fix the photo delete bug.
Note: Owners who have their iPhone/iPod jailbroken with blackra1n must update or restore to get rid of blackra1n before using Spirt! This will cause alot of problems if you use Spirit on a blackra1n'd device.

    Our convo in the IRC:

    Spirit Thinking my 3G is a 2G

    I recently got another Itouch 8gb 3G (Already have 16gb 3G)
I hooked up the New Ipod to the computer and let it do all its thinks and then ran Spirit and it gave me this.... **(IT JAILBROKE JUST FINE)**

I know its the 3G as the print on the back of the size is small and not big (info from google) so just an FYI for comex and the team.... also here is our convo via IRC

Mine came up as a 3G on my MacBook. Spirit's been updated again today. It fixes the c00000005 error and fixes the photo deletion bug.

Normal for it to show up as a 2G if you have a 8gb 3rd gen. Reason mine showed up fine cause it was a 32 GB.
