hi all
i'm new and just installed a Hitachi LG GDR 8163b which seems to read ok but will not let me write to a dvd/cd disc, anyone got any ideas please.

You have one the the few models of LG DVD-ROM drives that can read Wii game discs. It is, however, not a burner. Go to the Dumping and Burning Forum to read about the software and procedures needed to copy your Wii game discs to PC; any DVD burner should be able to burn the image using ImgBurn or Nero softwasre.
