Well I figured its better late than ever to introduce myself. I recently just registered for the ease of technical support in regards to handling my softmod wii. First of all, big thanks goes out to all of you who posted these useful guides. I was very cautious and made sure to make as little screw ups as possible and I can run just about everything I want to efficiently on my wii. Big thanks goes especially to Pob and mauifrog. Especially for their guides with the ease of understanding what I am suppose to do and Pob's recent technical assistance with nand emulation (I can run pretty much every vc game except for Castlevania Rebirth).
But anyway... I go by the name of JG and I am mainly a big fan of both the Contra and Castlevania series. Mainly Contra though is my favorite. I also love shmups and there is nothing more I'd like than recommended shmups to check out! I have also recently became a home brewer. In fact I'm currently fermenting my first batch of beer that is suppose to be a Belgian Pale Ale. Among other things, I'm the president and founder of my college's Debate Club and I mainly listen to electronic synthpop music and heavy metal. Well yea thats problably a good assortment of information to share.
Again thanks for the assistance guys. Figure I'd throw it out there. One last shout out btw to llaffer, in the Chat Room that helped me the other day when I was struggling with my nand emulation. He didn't know much but he did kind of help me out so thats always better than nothing.
and welcome to

Once you have completed the guide you need to ascertain if your wii is capable of playing backups via the disc drive or whether you need to be usb loading.
Wii's post 2009 generally cannot play backups via the disc drive and have to use usb loading.
I recommend usb loading anyway as you can add an remove your games easily and there is no wear and tear on your disc drive and no messing about with discs etc.
