Hello Wii Hackers!

Hi friends!,

I'm a long time member here (since 2008) but never had a chance to communicate much. I bought a wii since 2008 but never modded it so I sold it, since my four kids are soo young back then. It's only recently that I bought another wii for my kids to enjoy and it's already modded :dft010::dft010: . I think it's hard modded already since the seller can't determine :confused: he sold it from a friend.

So now I have this wii and it's a 4.2u version and it has the Neogamma and usb cfg sd loader bundled. So I guess it's hard modded since it doesn't have a usb or sd card installed yet. Anyway I'm currently going to burn an iso to a dvd-r and see if the disc backup works. Any tips?? I'm going to use it's full potential. This forum is sure an overload of information and my brain is already fried but happy. Any tips would be highly be appreciated.

Once you have completed the guide you need to ascertain if your wii is capable of playing backups via the disc drive or whether you need to be usb loading.

Wii's post 2009 generally cannot play backups via the disc drive and have to use usb loading.

I recommend usb loading anyway as you can add an remove your games easily and there is no wear and tear on your disc drive and no messing about with discs etc.

Once your HDD is setup and ready to go, you will need a program to manage your games!
