New but old, softmod but forget... help

    Hi there!

Ages ago I nervously soft hacked the wii a year plus ago, now I've lost the NAND backup, cannot remember how to upgrade the system (think its 3.2) don't allow it onto the net in case it gets bricked, so I don't buy any ov the C64 games

So... I'm looking to ensure I have:
    1. Good back up of my system
    2. Update it
    3. Enjoy it again
Guessing I'm not the first in this position, so please point me in the right direction... I'd appreciate it

    Cheers!!

hi, presuming you have bootmii installed, go to the hbc, press home, launch bootmii. then use the power button on the front of the wii to navigate to the icon with the gears on it. press reset to select, then do the same to select the icon with the green arrow going from the chip TO the sd card, press reset to select, an dthis will backup your nand. Then save your keys.bin etc to a safe place on your pc.

after you back up your nand you can follow the anywii guide in my signature to get all of you ios's and cios up to date. Use the step for users with HBC installed. That will get you all the way up to date.

Will do! Looking forward to getting the system up to date and thank you!

Just a p.s. what should I do in the settings of the Wii to stop an automatic update, or am I forever barred from the Weather Channel etc?
