Konichiwa + Hey Ya'll !

Hey gang! My name is Joe. I am brand new to the forum. I live in Japan but I am American. I just bought a Japanese Wii. I can read Japanese pretty well so please do not hesitate to ask me questions about Japanese text.

My Wii is not modded nor have I ever modded anything, but I would like to start. How do I start? What should I do?

How do I begin to tell what chip I need or if my Wii can be modded?

Any help is more than appreciated.
