    Greetings from Jakarta

    Hi all!
I got my modded NTSC-U Wii on August 2007.
The shop keeper doesn't know what mod is used with it.
    Btw, it's a D2B.
Can't play Mario Galaxy & newer games after that.
That's why I'm joining this great forum to find out more what can I do about it.

So far I've tried to use several modchip-upgrade DVDs.
Non really work so far, so I know the mod is not a wiikey nor a wiinja.
Next, think I'll buy a 3-starred screwdriver to open it up

Hi, Welcome to a great Wii Community. The best way to find out is to open up the Wii and taking a look and maybe take some pictures of it jsut in case you need to post them for others to see.

yes, my husband did buy me wii at mangga dua.

yesterday i went to the biggest wii vendor at mangga dua, to buy a tri-wing screwdiver for Rp35,000 (around $3.8) & just now i open the wii myself

it has no real mod-chip. Just an ATMEGA8-16PU (a Microcontrollers - RISC 8kB Flash, 0.5kB EEPROM,23 I/O Pins - whatever it is, i just copy-paste it from their website) with 5 wire soldered to the board.

(& i think i screw up a lil bit on the screws, too many of them
ended up with 1 leftover screw & 1 not-fit-anymore screw & 1 screw become so abrasive it cannot be remove anymore, help... my husband said it needs to be drilled, is it right?)

Actually, the modder-man there said he really sure that any wii bought at mangga dua in august 2007 is a d2c, & if i got the #001 error i should definitley throw away the old mod-chip because it is un-upgradable & he will install any of the latest chips for me for Rp350,000 (around $38)
