Silverback_NY - yup, another Newbie
I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. Ok, not really, but the rules stated that I had to. Anywho, I am the proud owner of a new Wii console, so of course the first thing I want to do is to hack it so I can play backup games. So far, I have installed the homebrew channel, removed something from block 249 (not sure about that one yet). So, for the time being, I'll be reading the posts in this fine forum so, I can get up to speed.
Before I started this part of my journey, I updated my system to 4.2U, so that's where I'm working from.

2009 Wii Serial numbers after LU3884XXXX and LEH2676XXXX have probably got the new D3-2 chip that prevents playing backup DVD's. They can still use original discs and USB loaders.
And please do donate to the forum if you are able so we can go on helping the Wii community.
I hope you have a great time here at WiiHacks, and increase your knowledge of all things Wii.
