    Hello

Hello, my name is Labmonkey. I found this site when i realized my wife accidentally updated the wii. I now have version 4.2U, and backup launcher doesnt work. Hopefully i can follow the instructions on this site and get it back to how it was. Seems like an interesting site, i may stick around.

Well, thank you guys for the tutorial. I have sucessfully recracked my wii. However, i am still trying to figure out why the dvdx player thing wont seem to work. Dont really care though, i have a dvd player, so it dont matter really.

As you have a DVD player, I would recommend you use that to play movie DVDs rather than the Wii. You really want to minimize the wear and tear on the Wii's laser; DVD players are often easier and cheaper to replace than a Wii.

Did you also install MPlayer CE? DVDx just allows access and a media player is still needed to play a movie DVD. I can't be sure that MPlayer CE has been updated for the 4.2Wii, yet but that is what you would need.
