    Hello World

    Hi all.
I have been reading threads on this site for a few weeks now and just registered today and this is my first post so i dont know if i would be considered a noob or not.
I must say the tutorials are wonderfull, i have successfully soft moded my wii and now run 4.0u with homebrew, bootmii ver 2 as ios, and preloader .29 with usbloader, backup launcher and wad manager 1.3 as channels. I now have about 80 vc and wiiware games on 2 2gig sd cards and about 10 dvr -r backups and 4 dvr +r 's all working great.

If anyone has any sugestions on anything that may improve my modding experiance it would be greatly appriciated.

Some problems i am working on are:
    1. System will not go into standby and powers off when button is pressed ( i guess this setting is in wiiconnect24 but i am afraid to turn this on after the latest 4.2 update)
    2. Preloader hacks are all disabled some i can turn on but others cause system dump. ( i think i may have an old hacks.ini )

Thanks for all the great Info.

Hello and welcome to the wiihacks community.

I know you are anxious to get started; but, there are a few items to cover before you post your questions or start doing anything to your Wii. If you intend to make software-based modifications of your Wii (softmod), including installation of the Homebrew Channel, DO NOT ACCEPT THE LATEST NINTENDO UPDATE. DO NOT UPDATE TO SYSTEM MENU VERSION 4.2.

Make sure you read the rules of this site. There are a number of tutorials and guides available to assist you. Make sure to either look through the tutorials or use the search function before asking questions. While the moderators, staff, and members of this community are willing to help you, some effort on your part to read, research, and follow the rules is expected. To get the best response to your question(s), post in the associated forum areas. This is very important as inappropriate posting could get you restricted to the reading room or even banned.
