    Exclamation removing wi-fi from wii...

first. I am new. hello. second, if someone wanted a wii but did not want even the ability to get the internet and assuming removing the wi-fi chip is the only way to do it, how could you safely remove it. would you need expensive tools and where might you get the schematics. hopefully the wi-fi is not integrated to the point where taking out the chip would ruin the machine. i understand this is an odd question but if someone knows something it would be much appreciated.

    Yes, very odd question...

There is absolutely no reason why you should ever need to do this...

You can set it not to connect to wifi...

not really that odd...I wear an aluminum hat.....don't you?

if you do set it up....you will not have a connection at all.
and if you did at one point...just clear the connection settings....simple

    Lightbulb hardware removal

appreciate the replies. the aluminum hat was good. but seriously regardless of my reason, the question remains. how do you physically remove the wi-fi hardware. If you do not know please point me in the right direction.

    thanks again.

    Welcome to the forum!

    but...

Why would you want to take it out? It won't make a difference if you just leave it in, turn it off, and don't use it. So why risk messing it up taking it out? Just leave it in your Wii and turn off the Wi-Fi.

You could just snip the wires to the antennas. If you take the wii apart its pretty easy.
