    New Here

    Hi Everyone.

I'm new and I've just recently softmodded my wii. I'm hoping to find the help for some problems I encountered along the way here.

I have read a few things yesterday so I'll see if I can solve my problem first.

My softmod worked perfectly and I was able to load games with USB Loader from Homebrew. Then I decided to install a Forwarder wad and since then I can't get the USB loader to work at all, not even from Homebrew.

I read that I need the latest IOS35 version, does this sound correct to you? I will do a syscheck later today but I have no clue what to check for on there, so I'll post it here

Yes, post a SysCheck when you can and we (WiiHacks staff) will look it over and see if it's good or not. It could be something as simple as not having IOS 58 (the one that adds USB 2.0 support) or it could be something else. We'll know when we see.

It looks like you've followed instructions for a vWii Softmod. You should be using HBC 1.1.0, not 1.1.2, you're cIOS d2x should be v8 final, not beta 10.

You can fix this by using the Softmod ANY Wii guide in my signature, just start from the part that says mods with Homebrew channel installed.

Reinstall the HBC using HackMii installer. Probably better to start from scratch in the guide as opposed to starting with HBC installed since you have to install a different version of it anyway.

Thank you so much. There are tons of guides out there and I really thought I followed the guide perfectly

Clearly some guides miss information or steps

I will follow your entire guide tonight and I am sure it will work
