hello!

hi i am new to hacking anything really and i stumbled apon this website while looking for a way to play dvds in my wii. so far i have managed to scare my self to death thinking i bricked it. but i managed to turn it on by holding the reset and powerbutton. the problem i am having is i dont know where the guide i followed is. and i am still lost. i have a coupe new channels now on my wii and i dont know how to use them and my normal disk channel says there is a system update avalible. can any one point me in the right direction on how to add wads and avoid any future scares?
