Hello!

Hello there. First off I have to say thanks for the people who have put a wealth of info on here! I have come looking to back up my games as I travel a lot so it would be nice if I could leave my games at my my house whilst I go to my boyfriends, boyfriends mums house, or a friends house and bring my wii without having to lug around a load of discs which could get damaged in the process.

I've read a lot of guides, so hopefully I won't ask too many stupid questions :D It won't be the first console I've done this with, just hopefully I don't do anything stupid.

Once you have completed the guide you need to ascertain if your wii is capable of playing backups via the disc drive or whether you need to be usb loading.

Wii's post 2009 generally cannot play backups via the disc drive and have to use usb loading.

I recommend usb loading anyway as you can add an remove your games easily and there is no wear and tear on your disc drive and no messing about with discs etc.

Once your HDD is setup and ready to go, you will need a program to manage your games!
