    best system menu

okay sorry guys, it's been awhile. I hacked my wii awhile back but sold it.

So i'm looking to get a new wii but I was wondering what system menu I should look for.

What is the most compatible system menu version with the homebrew channel and USB loader GX?

I know there has been tons of system menu updates since i've last done this so if I could get some help I would greatly appreciate it

find an older wii that is Boot2 capable... then you will softmod it to a patched sm4.1

Did I come off like a jerk?? Read more here

yeah, I read that post but it didn't say anything about USB Loader GX compatibility with system menus, which is why I made this thread. Thanks though Nightstah.
And shift_lock, thank you for your help.

what is boot2, only certain wii's have this capability?

System menus have nothing to do with anything. Read the newbies guide in my sig.

Only older Wii's do. Newer ones don't. Bootmii as boot2 is a life line if you brick messing with it. Also older Wii's can play back up discs. Blu's post is a good must read it explains a lot more then I can explain.

okay, thanks guys. I was thinking that the system menu was what determined the compatibility with your softmods. How old of a Wii would I need for it to have boot2 and play backups?

Nope, that'd be cIOS (and obviously a compatible USB HD/enclosure if going that route). Edit: every bit of four years old (possibly a little more) re: boot2 capability.
