oookay, so I've never hacked anything before. This step by step guide is very easy to follow, except I need a couple things clarified.

"STEP TWO:
Download and copy the Homebrew Channel Installer, the boot.elf, and copy it to the root of your SD Card"

Does this mean I am to rename this file (the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1.tar.gz) boot.dol/elf?

So, I will have the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1.tar.gz renamed boot.dol (if this is what I'm supposed to do) and then have the private folder on the sd as well or am I supposed to have one of the files in there (for my region and TP game version) on the root?

Why is it that I cannot just find this boot.dol file somewhere.

Yes, I need my hand held, thank you.

the_homebrew_channel-1.0.1.tar.gz that means its a compressed file. extract it with winrar.

Me again!

So, I extracted the boot.dol from the homebrew channel file, had it in the root on the sd, as well as the private file.

In my Wii is shows a blank sd card though. I deleted all but my region files so I only have the rzde folder on my sd, still shows a blank sd card.

I reformatted my sd, it's FAT and all that, just to be sure.

What am I doing wrong? I was going to take screenshots of my sd directories but I think it's pretty self explanatory.

Edit:
I've checked my TP hack file I do have the right version for my Wii 3.3. (beta1)

Editing again: 'kay, I've changed my bin file to 'archive' off to try this again.
