    New to homebrew, please help.

Alright, well I'm planning on installing homebrew on my wii. Right now my wii is version 3.3U. I haven't downloaded that wii shop update yet, since I've heard it can make it hard to install homebrew? Once I install homebrew, will it be safe to go ahead and download the shop update? Any help or tips would appreciated as I'm very new to this. Thanks.

    KINDA, i repeat KINDA

    theres a homebrew program
    IOS 51 and shop installer

get the .dol, and rename it boot.dol, accept it, and load it it will give up the new shop

and you dont have to get 3.4 at all, amd u can freely use it =3

thanks for the info, do you know where I might be able to download that? and step by step instructions would be awesome. sorry...I'm really slow/dense when it comes to this sort of thing. Also, I'm trying to get the gecko OS app set up on homebrew so that I can play games region free. I copy everything into a "apps" folder on the SD card and go to the homebrew channel, but nothing happens. It just sits there. what am I doing wrong? please help if you can, I really appreciate it. Thank you.

ah, thank you I found it. I was also able to get the gecko OS working. however...now I have another problem I'm afraid. I finished installing the shop update, but whenever i try to access the shop, it instantly crashes and sends me back to the wii menu. Is there any fix for this? sorry for the trouble, please help if you can, thanks.
