    Hi

Okay ... i can only German and a little englisch
This Wii is made in the Year 2006.
So it must be a BootMii in Boot2 Wii - i think.
Is there a Differnce in Hardware between a japanese Wii and an euopean Wii?
Why doen´t work the Nand Formatter Method?

I think, this where the easyest Way - but if don`t work ...
I wont the Japanese Wii made for my Region and my language - germany.

If the nand formatter really doesen´t work ...
First Priority is .. install the Homebrew Channel, BootMii and make a NAND Backup.
Are this things installed, i think, i use Any Region Chancer and hope - no Brick
I get this Wii from a Friend from Japan.

The nand formatter isn't working for you because it needs Bootmii installed as Boot2 first. You need to at least get the Homebrew Channel installed or update to at least 3.0 before you can do anything.

    Yes of course.
My first Way is ... BootMii and Homebrew Channel installer.
If BootMii is installed ... maybe can i use nand formatter EUR?
That where the easyest way for me

I don't see why not. It's not recommend to use that guide unless your Wii is bricked but IF you can install Bootmii as Boot2 then it should work. That being said, I still suggest that you follow the Softmod Any Wii guide and include Chapter 2 Step 2 which is a region change. If you want to play backup games on your Wii then you will need to softmod it anyway so why not just do one more step in the guide?

Okay ... I Have bricked my Japanese Wii
    But, BootMii as Boot2 start

It was what wrong with the Region Change.
So, i have used the NAND Formatter.

In Settings from NAND Formatter i have changed:

MODEL i have Changed to RVL-001(JPN)
In AREA i have changed to JPN
    DVD: 0
    MPCH: 0x7FFE
Serno: I have input the Serial Number from the Japanese WII
    Video: PAL
    Game: EU

So, now i have a Opera Screen on Startup without SD Card.
    BootMii is working fine.
I Also have a NAND Backup from the Japanese Wii FW 4.1 without Homebrew Channel.

    What i have make wrong?

Wy Wii want load in Opera: ... address to marc:JP/JP/JPSetup/startup_index1.html

    Thank You

while u've recovered the console at 4.1J, u could start the softmod per mauifrog's thread [Guide: Softmod Any Wii]
that should cover everything for u to convert the Jpn wii into a 4.1u/4/1e , plus applicable usb loaders.
