    WiiMC Video Streaming with OS X (SMB Share)

    Hey everyone,

    I was just wondering if anyone here could help me out with setting up SMB sharing. I am running Mac OS X 10.6.5, and I have been trying to set up my Wii to stream video content from my computer. Every time I try, all I get is: Error- Failed to Connect to Network Share.

    I am fairly certain that I have the IP, username, and password set up correctly, and I have OS X set up for SMB file sharing. I am not exactly sure what to enter for the display name and the share name. If anyone has any experience getting this set up your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Just curious... what's with having two accounts here on wiihacks --- This one and the Shannon Sedgwick ID?

    I first logged in on my girlfriends computer and used facebook connect to log in. I figured if I was going to post questions I should make a more anonymous account. Sorry if that causes trouble.

    I'm sorry... so that really doesn't answer the question of TWO IDs. There a reason you couldn't log onto it with your own ID? One day apart in sign up, I'm a little confused. We don't allow multiple accounts; does one of them need stricken or?

    If you need to get rid of one account, you can get rid of the one under Shannon's name. I was using her computer, which was logged onto Facebook to read a tutorial. I used the connect function because you have to be registered to view links within posts. Later, I came across an issue that I could not find an answer to. I didn't feel like she would like me posting here with her facebook account linked to it, so I created a profile.
