How to build a .DOL containing files for a homebrew game?

We have been toying around with making a Homebrew game, and have created a sample. We are now trying to get this to run on our Wii, however it looks like we need to somehow package the data files for the game inside the .DOL file... yet we are not finding any way to do this. At the same time, whenever we package a .WAD file and try to load it through the WadLoader, we receive an error that the ticket is incorrect.

Could anyone point us in the correct direction on how to make this work? Perhaps some tutorials or documentation that we may have overlooked?

    Thanks!

If it is .elf, try using the converter to change it into a .dol. You can download the converter by itself, or it is packeaged into Devikit pro.

We are compiling it as a .ELF, however our data files are seperate from it. So what I have is a .ELF file, and a directory:

    game.elf
    /gameData/

The /gameData/ directory is not inside the .ELF file. All the other Homebrew titles I have seen do not come with any data directories or graphic files or anything - just a .DOL file, leadning me to believe that the gamedata is somehow INSIDE the .dol file. Is there a way that I can package my gamedata inside the .DOL file along with the .ELF?

Put that gamedata in .elf file, the convert it. That seems to be what should be done.

Ah, yes! That seems like what needs to be done. Then, how do we put it in the .elf file?

To be honest I am not sure,if you open some homebrew apps folders there is the .dol then other items. Try compiling like that, then make it in a folder. : x
