This is a full SD card (not a MicroSD in adapter), right? Did you do a full format (as opposed to "quick") and as FAT32? I know HackMii is well-known to at times have fits over the SD card being utilized...

Maybe a silly question but did you try an online update to HBC 1.0.8? DO you have a way of connecting your Wii to the internet?

Are you suggesting the user update to 4.3? Or am I misreading what you refer to?

Holy cow no! I meant a Homebrew update!!!! I should clarify that. He has 1.0.6 so why not try an online update to HBC 1.0.8?

It's a full sd card, I've tried the online update a zillion times with the same result (except when everything was upside down after installing 61 with patches, at which time the 1 actually showed up) and I've reinstalled 58.

Thank you. I'm good to go with 36 v. 3315. Here are the IOS' and versions I have installed. Please take the version numbers with a huge grain of salt as the print was incredibly tiny and blurry, so a 0 could have been an 8, a 5 a 6 and so on. If patches aren't mentioned, it's because all are disabled for that IOS.

250 v. 65535 all patches enabled except flash
249 v. 17 all patches enabled except flash
223 v. 4 (or 1?) all patches enabled except flash

Do Chapter 2, then Chapter 1 of the any wii guide linked below. Be sure to use the ios update pack.

MY HBC IS UPDATED (I think :P)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you MauiFrog and all the others for your help. I would have NEVER figured this out myself, NEVER. but....

now wiiMC is failing to mount to anything, just says it can't find a usb device. I copied all the apps at the bottom of the tutorial onto my hdd and everything else (well, homebrew browser still says it won't run on my console) works fine, so I know it's not my hdd. I'm off to research. THANK YOU ALL!
