    Angry WAD Installer missing after Homebrew V9 & cant get back

    Hi All,

    I have been using homebrew for months now and very happy I have not updated Wii firmware from Nintendo and hopefully never will have too - Wii on version 3.1

    Few days back, got the homebrew channel update message and updated to V9, after noticed that the FTPii program didn't work - read that there is an update and installed, all good, noticed that the WAD installer didn't work , strangely after a few reboots, and playing some homebrew, the WAD installer channel is missing in homebrew

    I have seen an updated version but dont have access to Twilight Princess game anymore, all the homebrew works perfect but cant install WADs without this WAD installer.

    Does the WAD installer needs to be installed via Twilight Princess? or can I just reinstall it by placing the files in the apps folder?

    I have followed full instructions but cant get the WAD installer back on the homebrew channel so no new WADs...

    Please can anyone help!!!

    Thanks

    It's a simple solution. ^_^

    You have to download the new wad installer 1.3. Make sure it is a .dol file, as the V9 HBC doesn't support .elf files. You can probabaly find it on Google - I don't have the link.

    Hope this helps ya!

    Hi zerosyko,

    thanks for the quick reply.

    I have been trying WAD Installer 2.1 and 2.0 as thought these would be the latest and greatest, the files contained and wad-installer.dol and wad-installer.elf. I have these files in the apps directory in a folder called Wad-installer but cant see the wad installer channel under homebrew - am I doing something wrong? or should I try WAD installer V1.3?

    I have also see WAD manager - not sure if I should try this?

    Thanks for help - much appreciated

    Ok, it should look like this.

    SD ROOT---->Apps---->Wad Installer(folder)---->boot.dol

    You have to rename the .dol file to boot.dol for it to be recognised
