    Why wouldn't they use .elf? Is there a problem with it?

    I just read through the first few pages of this thread and took it the green light was on to update the HBC, now to my absolute horror I can't get any of the apps to run and worst of all Wad manager.

    Please tell me this is fixable...

    WAD Manager 1.3:
    Waninkoko - Wii Projects

    Homebrew Browser 0.2.3b:
    Homebrew Browser - WiiBrew

    Basically .. if your app is still *.ELF .. it will not run. The creators need to update their apps from *.ELF to *.DOL. It may take a little while, but thank gawd Waninkoko is on the ball for WAD Manager!

    Right sorry to be a pain but I've downloaded the newest wad manager and dropped the Dol file into my old apps folder only now it doesn't show up in the HBC. Is there anything sticking out that I'm doing wrong?

    you need to rename it to boot.dol .. and stick it where your old WAD Manager was .. which was probably in a sub-folder under SDCard:\Apps\wad manager..

    Kinda .. the NEW WAD Manager comes with WAD-Manager_v1.3.dol .. rename this to boot.dol .. DELETE your old manager and drop the NEW one where your OLD one was.

    It's running.

    I was actually using Wad installer/uninstaller and right now the mission is to remove rainbow island and simcity 2000 and load up on megaman, just completed 9 tonight, it was delightful.

    They fixed some minor bugs, but what really makes me happy is the reload function and exit mode.

    In beta 8, if you took out your card and put it back in, no homebrew would work until your restarted the channel, now you can re load the channel and refresh all of the apps.

    Also, when you exit, it goes strait to the menu without restarting.

    Here are the details:

    * Installer / updater now works with the October 23 update
    * SDHC support
    * REALLY fixed the memcard bug
    * Installer now picks newest sane IOS, fixes some beta8 regressions
    * Added a reload button (for SD card changes)
    * Return to system menu skips warning
    * Fixed some graphical glitches
    * Compliant ELF loading code
    * Saner XML load code
    * Many fixes to underlying stuff in the newer libogc

    Nice work. But I got a problem with this HBC 9, like most...

    It wont let me run .elf applications like wad manager v1.2, Geexbox, WiiMP3...

    How do I turn .elf apps to .dol, so I can used on the HBC 9.

    Note: I dont like tu use Twilight Hack to run apps.
