I'm pretty sure that you need to use an older channel, since 1.06 (the app) uses IOS202 instead of IOS58. If you have WiiMC Channel 1.5, give it a shot. Otherwise, try 1.4 and see if that works.

    Hi, just a quick update.

I installed the 1.06 version of WiiMC, and it did read the DVD this time instead of out right refusing like it did in ver 1.1.0.
however it was very laggy. the sound seemed to go on as normal but the picture just staggered. and on one DVD it also started playing the audio commentary, which would obviously be an extra feature normally.

thanks for the help Joostin. I think i will stick to my normal DVD player for now, as i said before it would have been nice to have all the features working, but i can do without.
I shall probably give the next version a go when its released. but in the meantime i am happy with all the other features available. it has excelent playback for my mpeg's and Avi's etc.

When I try to install channel it writes that I have to install IOS58 (I have already installed it) and to reinstall Homebrew (I have version 1.0.6). I also get some error when I open app in homebrew somethink about fake IOS. Any solutions to this problem?

You need to update your HBC to 1.0.8.

Can I do that online, it asks me for update. And how to do that? Just click "Yes"?

Yeah, just click yes. You don't need to uninstall it either, just install it again. I suggest updating bootmii (just reinstall) and removing DVDX, which is out of date and isn't used by (almost) anything.

Do I have to turn Priiloader off? And just to install bootmii again? Nothing else? What about message I get when I start WiiMC via Homebrew:

The current IOS has been altered (fake-signed) Functionality and/or stability may be adversely affected.

No need to mess with Priiloader. Do you have DarkCorp?

I don't think so (I bought used Wii). How could I update Homebrew online when I have Online updates turned off?

Only Nintendo's online updates are blocked. Updates that don't consist entirely of fail and stupidity, such as HBC updates, are not blocked. Just follow the directions I posted here and you should be fine.
