Sounds like an issue with your USB device. Is it FAT32 and set to active? Also, if hbc is running on IOS36 then you didn't reinstal HBC with the latest hackmii installer after installing IOS58. The latest hackmii is 0.8.
    Damn I suck!!!!

No you don't need to hack it again. Just run the hackmii installer from your current HBC and install HBC again.

Well the max is 480p. The file format probably isn't your issue.

To load the hackmii installer from HBC you need to download the boot.elf, make a folder called something like "HBC update"....put the boot.elf for the installer into the HBC update folder. SD in the Wii, load HBC, load the boot.elf from your HBC update folder just like any other application launched from HBC (getting little off topic here).
    Damn I suck!!!!

In the first post I listed the compatible video formats, if the formats .kmv or .rmvd are not on the list then perhaps they are not supported.

this is from the first post, just in case you missed it
    Video:
3gp, asf, avi, bik, divx, dpg, dv, dvr-ms, evo, f4v, flc, fli, flv, iso, m1v, m2t, m2ts, m2v, m4v, mkv, mov, mp4, mp4v, mpe, mpeg, mpg, mqv, nsv, nuv, ogm, qt, rmvb, swf, trp, ts, vdr, vfw, viv, vob, vro, wmv, y4m

you are the best Krank, thank you very much for your support. i get my wii working. The only problem is i can;t play the high def. it like a slow motion, the screen showing that i have 94 - 98% buffering ..... like that. Other than that, it just great.
I can update to the 1.1.0 now, hopefully the newer version can fix this problem then perfect.

As mentioned the maximum output resolution is 480p....anything beyond that will not play correctly. The file format is not the only factor in determining if the video will be compatible with WiiMC.

    Main things to look for:

File Format: Most formats will play given the correct resolution and codec
Codec: Not all codecs are supported and WiiMC struggles with some (*x264 as an example).
Resolution : Maximum supported is 480p. Anything above this will not decode/play properly.

So as you can see the compatibility depends on a number of things, not just the file format (container).
