As for the ? about SMB, I used Mac OS 10.5 file sharing (Sharing under System Prefs.) and just told it where to look. Not sure if you're on Mac, tho.
Can you tell me how to setup on mac? thanks in advance

There are a lot of great posts on this topic. I think this topic should be fragmented to Initial setup and problems, SMB guide and setup, Tweaks. 9 + pages is alot of scattered info.

Some simple clarification on the SMB. I was under the impression that my external hard drive was plugged into the Wii and that I could network to it. Now If I am understanding things correctly the SMb share is a shared folder on my networked PC that WiiMC look to for the files to be streamed to it.

WiiMC can look to 3 folders on your computer using SMB, one for each topic - videos, music, and pictures. All you do is specify which shared folder to look for, for each topic.

thanks mate, I found a the info i was looking for.

    if anyone is interested..

I have removed the whole onlinemedia file from the WIIMC folder (be warened, if you do this you will lose the online function) and it did solve the problem but i only wanted to remove the adult links but this is better than nothing.

WiiMC v1.0.7 has been released. The first post has been updated.

IOS58 is required for this version, support for the cIOS has been dropped.

    • IOS 202 support removed
    • USB 2.0 support via IOS 58 added – requires that IOS58 be pre-installed

    • Synced to MPlayer r31961
    • YouTube support (thanks to lukegb and ataraxis for some help)
    • Picture zoom, rotate, pan, auto-rotate via exif data (thanks ataraxis!)
