Lol, gotta alot of obstacles to overcome on that one.
I have my Wii in one room running off a netgear router and it has a ethernet cable that connects it to my Lynksys router which is connected to my Ubuntu desktop.
How do I set up the WiiMC 1.4 so I can access my video files that are stored on my Ubuntu desktop. I have a Windows XP laptop that I can access my Ubuntu desktop, I used Samba to accomplish this.
I had to use two routers because the Wii is in a room that can't read the Lynksys desktop router. I have Netflix for Wii it works fine along with all my other Homebrew applications.
I have a soft modded Wii with 4.1U menu. Thanks for your help
I like the interface but it likes to crash while playing back from an SMB share. Mplayer_CE seems to be more stable. I hope this project continues and improves as I like the look, feel and simplicity of the interface.
I have noticed no issues with SMB shares crashing, except for movies that will crash while playing from a USB memory stick will also crash from SMB shares.
Do anyone get the FTP working?
I cant connect to my FTP server... only getting a error. cant connect to FTP.
I have tryed dubble checking my settings and all is ok. i can connect from pc but not on this prog/wii.

I really like Wiimc. When it works, its awesome. I am however having some problems with the audio and video syncing up on some files. With mkv and h264 the video seems to lag the audio. It gets better with the auto frame skip on, but its still choppy and never perfect.
WiiMC is great. Thanks
I have made a Independent Channel of
Wiimc Ver 1.0.4 :: Download Here
-- This Channel will work with out the wiimc folder on the sd/usb
-- The Channel has been tested on my 4.1U wii and works great
-- You do need a SD/USB HDD hooked up or inserted when lauching the app or it will kick back to the wii menu (it needs somewhere to save settings file to)
-- Install the included .wad via WADManger and Enjoy
-- Audio for Channel = THX Intro Sound
Kool, I will add it to the front page.
