USB Gamepads with Emulators (NES, SNES9x, etc.)?

So I have a Logitech Rumblepad 2. Anyone ever use one of these via USB on the Wii for the emulators?

I thought there were USB connections on the back of the Wii? From what I've read, though, it's only for a USB LAN adapter. I say hook it up and let us know what it does!

As I said in my first post I would plug it into the USB ports. Cause there are USB ports on the Wii. I guess I'll explore this tonight and get back to you guys.

Well for one it doesn't work because the Wii doesn't support USB acsessories. Also the USB drives are 2.0 but Nintendo has the software locked at 1.1 I belive.

I was aware of that but I wasn't so sure if the NES and SNES emulators would follow those rules. You can access USB Drives through WADManager, and on a PC versions of NES and SNES9x emulators you can use USB drives.
Neither of these are strong arguments, but I had the hardware and gave it a go. OH well.

Don't rule out support for 'em just yet though. They may be able to be used eventually!

    Sorry to revive the thread.
But as anyone managed to get the rumblepad working?
I have one sat here a relic from a long forgotten project to remote control my telescope
