Post Ok I have a question and a small problem.......

I followed this guys tutorial on soft modding the wii, everyhting almost works, but it's not picking up the .wad files games.
I went into wad manager and the blasted thing is set 249 if I hit a A ut will freeze up meaning a hard reboot and wad manager 1.5 sometimes freezing upon start up.

In order for me not brick my new wii I just got last week, whats a safer way or better way to do this.
I don't want to play any new released wii titles, just a few classics I remember 1987-2003.

Thanks in advance for any help.

A tip for you-never follow YOuTube videos. They tend to be outdated, incomplete, and of the reason you are here after following some other guide is no support.

On this site we will rarely watch a crappy video as it wastes out time, but this was only a waste on 1.5 minutes-so, I think you probably have HBC installed, yes? ou have now learned that Wad Manager doesn't work without cIOS installed. So, choose one of the two softmodding the 4.2 Wii tutorials on this site; links were provided in my welcome post to you in the Introductions Forum.

Continue the softmod skipping the HBC install as you have already done that. Good luck.

By the way, as a fan of the older games. You should complement the HBC install with the Homebrew Browser and then explore the emulators and oldtime homebrew games. Homebrew Browser - WiiBrew
