    Need help asap

SO my friends kid must have updated the wii whether by mistake or on purpose but now the Homebrew channel is gone and now nothing can run from the SD card. I can;t run any apps or anything. What can I do?

If they took an online update you're probably at 4.2 now. Check by navigating to Wii Options > Settings > top right-hand corner. If so you'll need to run through the 4.2 guide to remove the stubs that were installed in place of your cIOS.

Where is the guide to uninstall the stubs? The Wii keeps saying cannot run channel from SD and all the blocks are gray and the channel is blank except for a big question mark?

Just there or the other 4.2 guide in the guides forum. Suggest you read through and re-familiarize yourself with the process. Virginizing your console isn't necessary.

I have been reading back through it and will continue to, but what can I do when the Wii won't access any of the apps, channels, wads etc on the SD card?

You'll probably need to reinstall HBC with hackmii and run through the guide from the beginning.
