    i got some kind of weird error..i cant remeber, but from wat i heard, people told me that it was an old installer and that i was installing it on a newer system..something like that...so r u saying i should just use MPlayer CE? doesnt that need dvdx?

    No, just install cIOS USB2.0 using this installer:
    http://mplayer-ce.googlecode.com/fil..._Installer.rar
    Unzip it and make sure the .dol file is named boot.dol and place it in its own folder in the apps folder. Install it using IOS249.

    Then you can use MPlayer CE.

    Does this only read DVD's from a hard disk? or can i pop in a movie like a DVD player? sorry for asking so much.

    cIOS USB2.0 installs a cIOS which will allow MPlayer to load from USB Devices and DVDs. Although i'd recommend using a USB Device for better playback and to preserve your laser's life.
