    Install Homebrew w/o SD Card?

    Hey guys!

    I'm a noob here :P

I just bought a used Wii today at a great price. I later found out that the SD Card slot is broken

I can't return it and don't plan on it.

Is there anyway I can install the Homebrew channel w/o having to use the SD Card slot? I am thinking about buying a modchip.

Sorry if this has been posted before, if it has, please link me towards the right direction

    Thanks!

Your best bet would be buying the Wode.

Ehh not looking to spend that much.

I can buy a Wasabi Zero modchip brand new off my local Craigslist for $25.

I just really would like to be able to play my ROMs on my Wii

If you are just going to play backups then yes you only need the chip but if you want homebrew on it I believe you need an SD card but I might be wrong.

Yeah I'd love to have both!

I am thinking I am only going to be able to run backups, but thats better than nothing isn't it?!

I don't have an SD card.
    (Couldn't be bothered getting one.)
And I use a USB. It works fine.

I'm pretty much sure that you need a SD card to install homebrew, but afterwards you can use USB Ext. Drive/Flash Drive as a storage device.
