    Incase I brick,Can't install bootmii as boot2

so I had my wii on 3.3, using dogeggs softmod guide I safely upgraded to 4.1
I installed bootmii as an IOS since my wii cant do boot2

I made a backup of my NAND but from what I understand that helps if I have a semi-brick which would suck if I had a full brick ;(

what options are there for saving wiis with bootmii as IOS incase of a brick
(software only,I know that some chips can boot the console and savemii wasnt what I expected when I used it on my previous wii)

    Thanks
    Currently 4.1u(from 3.3u using waninkoko's updater) LU61 wii with D3-2 drive >_< 80GB WD Passport HDD
Neogamma R8 B7 for testing , dont use it much
    USB loader GX r838
BootMii as IOS (backup of NAND on PC)
    Preloader 0.29 system menu v449
    System IOS v60 cIOS 38 Rev 14

Preloader is just as good as bootmii as an IOS but more reliable. For you, there is no protection from a full brick, but you can follow few things to avoid one:
    1) Never Un-install ANY IOS under 200
    2) Never mess around with your System IOS, in your case it is IOS60.
    3) Careful with updates, preloader also has an option to skip disc update checking

so should I install preloader?will it block updates from lets say, a friend brought a game that requires an update, preloader skips the updates on original games too?

also I read somewhere that preloader will sometimes save from bricks, can you or anyone explain further on this?

what are the pros and cons of installing preloader?

Installing Preloader is recommended, just make sure to install it onto a supported menu (3.2, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2)

Correct Preloader will skip disc updates from all discs.

Preloader basically installs a rescue menu onto your wii, incase you can't load the system menu but your IOS is intact. The Preloader menu allows you to load straight into homebrew without using the system menu. From hbc, you can unbrick.

Is that true, preloader will install to 3.2, I may have been giving out some bad information to ppl, I thought that preloader was just for 4.x system menus.

The 'best' priiloader? Theres only one. How come people are spelling it Priiloader now? The software doesnt say that when you run it.
The software you installed in the blog is Preloader, and its the only Pre or Priiloader out there.
I saw another guide on this the other day calling it PrIIloader and the instructions were just the same old installing PrEloader guide...

    Hopefully nobody will be confused.

There are two preloaders, one is discontinued at .30 and that is preloader. Then priiloader took it over and are currently in charge of it. Search at wiibrew for it

I rarely post and almost never talk down to others but Monotremata, your an idiot, please just go sit in the corner. Don't respond to this as it will just bring more attention to your mis-noobment.

    Post less, research more :
    Priiloader - WiiBrew
    Preloader - WiiBrew
