Install homebrew from a DVD

I looked up and didn't find anything...

Is it possible to install homebrew from a DVD? My wii don't read SD Cards!! :mad:

Funny you couldn't find anything.

Mind you I'd never heard of this as it is a much older method that worked before 3.3. So if you have a Wii with 3.2 or less then it's possible if you can find the iso and have a drivechip installed.

What's wrong with your SD slot? Has it ever worked?

i dunno if it worked before, never tried!!
my wii is a 4.2U, with a drivekey, but i'd like to install an USB loader...

Then you are stuffed with the DVD install.

Try a different SD card formatted properly, otherwise you are never going to get Homebrew on there.

i've tried with 3 different SD's... and the last one worked on my friend's wii... both with 4.2U :(

Is your Wii still under warranty as it can be returned as faulty if the SD slot is not working>

I bought my Wii in USA and am in Brazil, so i lose the warranty...

Yes there is. I have an older version in my mediafire http://www.mediafire.com/tealc99s

Look in the channel folder for hbc.wad

There may be more up-to-date versions floating around but that's all I have.

and what should i do with this hbc.wad? burn only it to a DVD?
