Deleting the homebrew channel alone would not cause a black screen. Your son must have done something else. If you could find out what else was removed that would be handy.

So you get no warning screen or anything?

Do you have preloader? Hold reset as you power on the Wii?

Do you have bootmii/boot2 installed? Does the DVD slot flash twice within 1 second or so when you power on?

Uk 4.0E Wii. Wiikey2. Softmod. 320GB WD My Passport Essential WBFS/FAT32 USB Drive.
    Intel i7 920 Quad core oc 4Ghz, 6GB Tri-RAM, Radeon 4890.

If I have helped you do remember to press the little thanks button! <----

Hi mate, HE IS 7 SO ALL I COULD GET OUTTA HIM WAS "HE PUSHED THE DELETE BUTTON ON THE CHANNEL WITH ALL THE BUBBLES" AS I SAY I DONT HAVE A NAND FILE BUT YES I DID INSTALL BOOTMII AND BOOT2! WHEN I INSERT THE SD CARD I GET THE 4 GREY HB ICONS ON BOOTMII ie. RETURN TO WII, HB CHANNEL, AND THE COGS ECT. BUT I CANT GET ANYTHING TO HAPPEN with them. So I guess im screwed!! pardon my french!!!!!! any ideas??

You are not screwed. Your son could have removed the whole Wii operating system and you could recover it as you have bootmii/boot2 which can rescue 99.9% of bricks.

As for the cogs, well I'd imagine that Wii menu is gone, Homebrew channel is gone but you should be able to use cboot2 to launch some apps to re-install stuff.

You will need to beg, borrow or steal(not really steal) a gamecube controller to use that menu and any applications which you will need to get your Wii back. You can get one pretty cheap.
