Geexbox and mplayer ce problems

Just hoping that someone will know what i have done wrong. My wii is on version 3.4 and it is hardmodded and softmodded.running cios38 rev14. My problem is that geexbox and mplayer ce wont pick up my hard drive to play films off. They use to before i updated them through the homebrew channel browser as it says there was an update. When i updated now both mplayer and geexbox wont pick up my harddrive any more ,they just pick up my sd card . I don't know what version i had on before the update so was woundering can i just downgrade to whatever version was on it before,i downloaded older versions of the internet and put them on the sd card but when i go to load it says that files are corrupt ,the versions that it updated to is geexbox beta 8 and mplayer ce 0.75,so maybe iam installing these wrong on sd card if someone could please help,or if they could point me in the right direction in how to get these to see my harddrive maybe there is some setting i need to change...

When you update the HBC you should update the DVDx and bootmii in the same installer.

If you use preloader, to make everything knit together you should use preloader 0.30r3

Sorry wiijohn i did'nt update my homebrew channel it was geexbox which was only updated and now it won't pick up my harddrive, Thanks for your reply...

Try going right to WiiBrew and downloading the apps you updated thru HBC. I have seen this happen to me and others when updating the snes emulator thru the HBC. But when downloading the app right from wiibrew and installing it on the SD card it worked.

I saw your post in teh hermes installer thread, thought you may have been saying that the Hermes installer was at fault, which didn't make sense.

Just to let you know ,i got geexbox beta 8 working ,it now see my harddrive ,i just downloaded through hbc a couple of times and then it worked..thanks for your help...

I never thought of trying again from HBC when the initial download didn't work, all I know is that downloading from WiiBrew and a manual install works every time. Kinda makes you wonder if installing bootmii that way has any flaws.
