Red face Need help with SD card...

I would like to know how to set up my SD card for installing the home brew channel. I have look up tutorials on how to do it, and they are telling me to click and drag to my root file on the SD card, but I don't see a root on my SD card. It's brand new and I have no idea what I'm doing. Please help.

Root meaning the main folder of it. E.g

X:/

X being your sd card
And you would have folders on your root.

When you format your SD card the Root directory is the first level of your SD card's file structure. SD:\

If you were to copy a folder to that root you would now have two directory levels:
SD:\New Folder Name\

Anything you copy to the root will show in this manner; anything copied to the the New Folder will show in the new level.

This is the same directory structure used in personal computers which is why no one bothers to explain the term root directory as it has been so commonly used in PCs.
